Marriage

Let's start where it all begin. My husband and I have been married for 11 years now. Wow 11 years seems like a long time, although we have known each other for much longer than that. I still can remember the first time I met him. Can you remember the first time you met your spouse? I remember that time when it was just the two of us. We met at good old Bradley University, what an experience that was! It is true that good things will come to you when you aren't even expecting them. I transferred to Bradley from another school and after just getting out of another relationship I swore that I would just enjoy the single life and hang out with friends. I had no idea that within the first two weeks at a new school I would meet my future husband! Wow and that is exactly how it happened. I can't say that it was a fairytale right from the start, but who really can?

We have both grown a lot and learned a lot along the way. I am thankful for living with someone like him on my side. Sometimes I feel that after having kids, keeping my marriage where it should be is hard. I mean when you become a mom your kids are your #1 priority and I know the husbands feel left out. It is almost like you have another child. It is important to keep the marriage a priority, but at the end of the day of dealing with kids, laundry, homework, housework the last thing I feel like is getting all sexy for my husband.  Ha! I don't think it is a site many people would want to see or think about anyway. Marriage is definitely a hard job that needs to be worked on every day.
